Mike Frey-USA TODAY Sports

Rafael Nadal has been an inspiration for many generations. Even today, the room is awestruck whenever the Spaniard walks in. Recently, Joao Fonseca, a young tennis player, was left Starstruck when he shared a room with Nadal.

In a recent interview, the Brazilian praised the tennis legend. He recalled the time Nadal ran into him at the gym. It was a monumental moment for the Brazilian, who had the incredible opportunity to share a room with Nadal.

Nadal had made his way back to the circuit. After spending time resting his body, the Spaniard has gotten off to a rocket start in the tournament. Recently, he emerged victorious after a tough battle against Pedro Cachin

On the other hand, Joao Fonseca’s name has been trending on the internet. However, the Brazilian got off to a slow start at the Madrid Open. He beat Alex Michelson after a slow start and made it to the next round, where he lost to Cameron Norrie.

It’s crazy. First day here I was talking to my coach, and [Nadal] appeared in the gym. Then you can see that everybody looks at him like, ‘Oh man, this guy is like a god’, something like that. Read a user on X

Rafael Nadal gives a shirt to Pedro Cachin after a tough match

The 2024 Madrid Open has gotten off to a great start, and what makes it more popular is their star player, Rafael Nadal. This is the Spaniard’s second consecutive tournament since he attempted a comeback.

However, he hasn’t been tested so far in the tournament as he was in the last match. Nadal was up against Argentine pro-Pedro Cachin, who had pushed the 37-year-old to his limits. At last, Nadal won the game, but the moments afterward were priceless.

After the game, his opponent told the Spaniard that it was a dream come true moment for him, who also asked the 37-year-old for a souvenir

You made my dream come true for me. Thank you. It’s not how the protocol is, but can I get your shirt, towel, or something? Said Pedro Cachin during the match

Nadal then presented the Argentine with a fresh shirt and wished him luck for the future. The day wasn’t a total waste for Cachin, who got a souvenir from his idol.
